Hi everyone! Randy the Pixel Pirate here to let you know about this brand new blog I’ve created. There are a number of reasons for creating this blog. First, this blog will help act as a journal so to speak for the development of Giggle Horse Games’ projects. Secondly, it will serve as a short term news outlet for our fans. Finally, it will hopefully keep me more focused and on track with our projects.
A Journal of our Development
Sometimes I forget about all the stuff that goes on with the development of a video game, or any software project for that matter. Because of this, I usually hide myself away and work in silence on a project not realizing how much time and effort is going into a project. It is only after talking to people who ask me, “So how is that project blah blah blah, blah, blah your working on coming along? Are you still doing that”? Then I realize that it looks like I haven’t been doing shit for the last few months, only because they literally have no way of knowing that I am still in fact working. Because of this, I can sorta understand that people that are even less technical, like my dad, think I just sit around all day at the computer without pants playing solitaire and eating snacks.
Leave me alone! I'm bating! |
The reality is that I am working really hard on software, and I wear pants while I work. Also I get tired of having to explain all the details to people about what I have to do in order to create a video game. So hopefully now when they ask I can give them a mile high overview and then point them to this blog if they want details.
Information for Our Fans
This is important for us, and I have to apologize for not keeping our fans, which are numerous, up to date on the development of our titles. Hopefully, this blog will serve as the spring board for all the other outlets like facebook, twitter, whatever so that the fans can see where we are in the development process and how much longer they have to wait to buy our next game and experience a digital orgasm of happiness.
